Tory Burch Sale

I wanted a typical pair of Tory Burch ballerinas for a long time but I couldn't take the last step and invest 220€ or more in them.
Couple of weeks ago I was browsing through many online shops (and did too many online shopping) and found the sale at Tory Burch. Amazing bargain, I tell you! I had to place an order!

As I said I wanted to have a typical pair of Ballerinas, but they weren't on sale. So I ordered a pair of Tory Burch VIV in black / ivory as I fell immediately in love with them.

They are so beautiful <3 And super chic!

Don't know why but after this pair arrived I visited the online shop again and found out that the Tory Burch Reva is on sale.... Japp, I placed another order and to be honest I really hoped that the size wouldn't fit but it does :)

I am keeping both! I mean I get two at a price of one :) And I am really happy with that purchase.

Manicure Monday

This week I am wearing two Models Own nail polishes on my nails. I haven't tried them before so I am pretty curious about the quality. Especially about the pink one as this is a Gel Effect Polish and I expect it to last a bit longer than a normal nail polish. We will see...

I've got these at Forever 21. Strawberry Tart is on my ring finger and Searing Pink on the other fingers, each for 6€. You can get Models Own cosmetic as well on Asos for example.

I really like the colors and I hope the polish will last quite a time.

By accident I grabbed the wrong nail polish bottle, on the pics you see Peach Melba but Strawberry Tart is on my ring finger. I realized that too late :)

Snake print sandals

This purchase was a super bargain. I bought these cute snake print sandals at Deichmann and I paid only 15€.

I love how they look, especially with jeans. They are quite unique because of the print.

Müller Look-Box July 2014

This month I was one of the lucky winners of a Müller Look-Box - Yaaaaay!!!

You get a beauty box for 5€ at your local Müller drugstore when you win. Unfortunately, not everyone can get a box which is really a pity because the box is really amazing!!!

This was in the Look-Box:

Isn't it amazing?! For 5 Euro!
  • Baldessarini Shower Gel
  • Katy Perry Royal Revolution Perfume
  • Sample of an Astor BB Cream
  • Jeanne en Provence Rose & Angélique Perfume
  • Essie Nailpolish in Braziliant
  • Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder
  • Astor Big and Beautiful Mascara
  • Maybelline Big Eyes Eyeshadow

I am really impressed with that box! Okay, I am not really into purple eyeshadow, but look what I've got for 5€! That is crazy! I love the Bronzer, Mascara is always a good idea, 2 perfumes (and I like how they smell) and a normal sized essie nail polish in a super fun summery color!
Amazing! I definitely going to try to get one of the following boxes, too!

What's in my travel make-up bag?

In the beginning of the week I was due to working reasons in Munich for two days. As I had only hand baggage with me I could only take few cosmetic products with me.

Here is what I had with me and used for my daily make-up.

  • Bobbi Brown Face Powder
  • BeYu Eyelid Primer
  • Maybelline Baby Lips
  • Manhatten Glowing Goddess Shimmer Powder (which I love BTW) which I not only use for my cheeks I like to use it as well like eyeshadow, that's super handy on a quick daily basis and gives you a fresh glowy look
  • Alverde Browgel
  • Benefit they're real Mascara (sample size)
  • Catrice Eyeliner in light blue
  • Catrice Eyeshadow in a light creamy color
  • MAC Concealer (can't live without)
  • Alverde transparent lose powder which I like to use over my concealer
  • MAC Rouge The perfect Cheek
  • Clarins Lip Perfector

I had as well the Catrice BB Cream with me, which isn't on that pic because it was in another small bag with my other beauty and cleansing products.

Black Espadrilles

In the last few weeks I bought a ridiculous amount of new shoes. It is almost a bit embarrassing but hey, I love shoes. And life is too short, just get these shoes, right?! I am going to share my new babies here with you.

Today I am starting with espadrilles.

The hype started with the Chanel espadrilles, I would say. But they are not really affordable. Anyway I really wanted to have a pair of espadrilles for the summer. First pair I found was at H&M online. Unfortunately, I didn't like how they were looking at me feet and they weren't really comfortable. Then I found a pretty pair at Topshop and ordered them immediately.

They are really comfortable and feel good on my feet. Maybe it is because they are made of real leather. The quality is pretty good as well and I love the look of them. This is the closest I can get to the Chanel espadrilles I think :D They are pretty versatile and look good with jeans same as with long or short dresses / skirts. I am pretty happy that I finally found my pair of espadrilles.

5 all time favorites

I am not only having five favorite products. But it is quite clearly to show only five of them at once.

The once I am showing you today are the following:

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
This mascara is really my all time favorite, it is the best I have ever used so far and I can't live without

Kiehl's Oil free Toner
I like this one a lot, it is pretty good for my oily skin but not too harsh. It helped me a lot to get a clear skin

Clarins Serum
I have never expected that an oil will be such a holy grail for my oily skin. I had a sample size of this product and immediately after the first try I was positive about it which made me buy the original size. Currently I am already using the second bottle.

Mac Studio finish Concealer
This is by far the best concealer I tried

Clarins Lip Perfector
I love this product so much. It is a perfect mix between gloss and lip balm and I use it every day (I am pretty curious about the new Catrice lip products though, they should be a pretty good dupe to the Clarins ones, definitely going to try them)

What I read - Part 2

Here is what I read in the second quarter of the year. I really need to take myself more time to read. I still have so many books to read at home and I am still buying more... :)

Chanel Francois Baudot
When you can't effort a Chanel bag you can at least buy Chanel books, right?! :)  And they look so good in your bookshelf or on your coffee-table ;)

Gillian Flynn: Gone Girl
I do like the story! But I have to agree with some of the reviews I read about the book that it is quite lengthy.

Gillian Flynn: Cry Baby / Sharp Objects (engl.)
Before I have read Gone Girl I read Sharp Objects which was a fabulous book, and very thrilling. I finished it in one day. I would recommend this book more than Gone Girl to be honest.

Maike Grunwald, Anja Hölper: Vom Glück mit Katzen zu wohnen
Beautiful pics of beautiful cats who are living with their "parents" in beautiful flats or houses. Very inspirational, especially for cat lovers and crazy cat ladies like me.

Joanne K. Rowling: Harry Potter 2 and the Chamber of Secrets
I just recently decided to read the Harry Potter books. End of last year I read the first book. Now I finished the second one and I have the third one already on my kindle. I love the books :)

P.C. Cast, Kristin Cast: House of Night - Marked
Another fantasy, teenage book about vampires. House of Night is a school in which teenagers undergo the Change to become an adult vampire. The book is pretty easy to read, the story is not the newest but good though. I ordered this book together with the second part. But there are books I want to read before I start the second part.

What I read - Part 1

I like to keep track of what I am reading throughout the year.
Here is a first overview about what I read from January to March.

Catherine Shepherd: Der Puzzlemörder von Zons (couldn't find an english translation)
This book was on sale in the kindle ebook store that's why I bought it. I have read better books before but it was quite good anyway.

Veronica Roth: Divergent
Hunger Games fans should love this story, I do so. Can't wait to start the second book (which is already waiting for months in my bookshelf).

Sebastian Fitzek: Noah
I just love reading Fitzek's books! All of them! This one is very critical of our society, something different to what he is usually writing about. Nevertheless, it is really worth to read this book.

Kathy Reichs: Virals
Reichs is the author of the Temperance Brennan books (Bones the TV show is based on this books). Chief character in the Virals series is Tory Brennan who is the niece of Temperance and a teenager who lives with his friends on a secluded island. I really liked the exciting story and I want definitely read the other books, too.

Marah Woolf: Silver Moon Light Part I and Part II
I like this kind of teenage, romantic, fantasy, easy books which you can just read in several hours and be just entertained for a bit. Usually, I am totally in to thrillers but from time to time I like this kind of books as well. It is a really lovely story. I still need to read the third part of it.

Happy Plugs

I can't remember exactly how, but I found this nice headphones on the internet the other day.

I immediately googled them and found the online shop.

Happy Plugs is a Swedish brand, they sell headphones in almost every single color you can imagine which is really cool. And as the price is pretty affordable you can even think about getting several colors. I ordered my headphones in rose gold on Wednesday night. On Thursday I received an email about my headphones being packed and sent out to me (from Sweden to Germany). On Saturday they were delivered. Super fast!

The look is definitely a plus: they look cool and pretty unique. In the past I always used the headphones that came with my iPhone so I am used to control the volume from the small remote which is a plus for me as I am using my headphones when I am cycling. Unfortunately, this isn't possible with the Happy Plugs. But you can switch the music off and on with the remote and there is as well a microphone for doing calls.

I get the ear-buds (the have as well the in-ear ones) and they seem to be a tiny bit bigger than the iPhone headphones. It could be that they are too big for some people's ears.

Overall, for me they fit, they look nice and cute and for now I can pass on the volume control.

Have you ever heard about Happy Plugs?
