What I read - Part 3

What did I read in the third quarter of this year? Third quarter, unbelievable, he?! The year is almost over, for me this year just flew by like never before, like crazy, really... It feels like it was just January and it is October... Okay, before I totally freak out about that I quickly jump into my reading list from last quarter ;)

Tess Gerritsen: Abendruh
I am a huge fan of Gerritsen and I read every book from the Rizolli series and I loved them, like this one! It is an diverting and thrilling book like the other ones.

Veronica Roth: Insurgent / Tödliche Wahrheit
This is the second part of the series and I have to say that I liked it even more than the first book, which usually never happens. I am so much looking forward to read the third and last one. Not sure if I should watch already the film about the first part or if I should wait till I finish reading the books.

Dan Brown: Inferno
I like Dan Brown, his spelling style is so super good that I usually only need few days to read the whole book. And the stories are always interesting and as well thrilling.

Kerstin Gier: Silber - Das erste Buch der Träume
It was a fabulous book! Amazing! Imaginative! Humorous! Really not only for kids or teenagers, I really recommend this beautiful book (and I am usually someone who loves thriller). I have already the second part here, but as the third one is coming up in summer 2015 I want to wait till I start to read the second one so that I don't have to wait that long till the last part :)

Kerstin Gier - Rubinrot
After I loved "Silber" that much I had to get Rubinrot, too. And what should I say I love this book as well. I really like the humor in this books. It doesn't happen that often that I really have to laugh out loud while reading but it happened to me both in Silber and as well in this one. The story is amusing, you can get so quickly through this book. Can't wait to read the rest of the story.

That's it, not that much... But I started reading and haven't finished yet: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (part 3), S. Fitzek's "Abgeschnitten" and J. Dashner's The Maze Runner ("Die Auserwählten im Labyrinth").

What I read - Part 2

Here is what I read in the second quarter of the year. I really need to take myself more time to read. I still have so many books to read at home and I am still buying more... :)

Chanel Francois Baudot
When you can't effort a Chanel bag you can at least buy Chanel books, right?! :)  And they look so good in your bookshelf or on your coffee-table ;)

Gillian Flynn: Gone Girl
I do like the story! But I have to agree with some of the reviews I read about the book that it is quite lengthy.

Gillian Flynn: Cry Baby / Sharp Objects (engl.)
Before I have read Gone Girl I read Sharp Objects which was a fabulous book, and very thrilling. I finished it in one day. I would recommend this book more than Gone Girl to be honest.

Maike Grunwald, Anja Hölper: Vom Glück mit Katzen zu wohnen
Beautiful pics of beautiful cats who are living with their "parents" in beautiful flats or houses. Very inspirational, especially for cat lovers and crazy cat ladies like me.

Joanne K. Rowling: Harry Potter 2 and the Chamber of Secrets
I just recently decided to read the Harry Potter books. End of last year I read the first book. Now I finished the second one and I have the third one already on my kindle. I love the books :)

P.C. Cast, Kristin Cast: House of Night - Marked
Another fantasy, teenage book about vampires. House of Night is a school in which teenagers undergo the Change to become an adult vampire. The book is pretty easy to read, the story is not the newest but good though. I ordered this book together with the second part. But there are books I want to read before I start the second part.

What I read - Part 1

I like to keep track of what I am reading throughout the year.
Here is a first overview about what I read from January to March.

Catherine Shepherd: Der Puzzlemörder von Zons (couldn't find an english translation)
This book was on sale in the kindle ebook store that's why I bought it. I have read better books before but it was quite good anyway.

Veronica Roth: Divergent
Hunger Games fans should love this story, I do so. Can't wait to start the second book (which is already waiting for months in my bookshelf).

Sebastian Fitzek: Noah
I just love reading Fitzek's books! All of them! This one is very critical of our society, something different to what he is usually writing about. Nevertheless, it is really worth to read this book.

Kathy Reichs: Virals
Reichs is the author of the Temperance Brennan books (Bones the TV show is based on this books). Chief character in the Virals series is Tory Brennan who is the niece of Temperance and a teenager who lives with his friends on a secluded island. I really liked the exciting story and I want definitely read the other books, too.

Marah Woolf: Silver Moon Light Part I and Part II
I like this kind of teenage, romantic, fantasy, easy books which you can just read in several hours and be just entertained for a bit. Usually, I am totally in to thrillers but from time to time I like this kind of books as well. It is a really lovely story. I still need to read the third part of it.
